From Humble Beginnings

1952

The First Restaurant

George W. Church Sr. opened the first Church's Chicken location in downtown San Antonio, Texas. With just a simple menu of fried chicken, the restaurant quickly gained popularity for its unique flavor and affordable prices.

1968

Rapid Expansion

Church's Chicken began its national expansion, opening locations across the Southern United States. The signature pressure-frying technique and secret spice blend became the hallmark of our flavor.

1989

International Growth

We opened our first international location in Canada, beginning our journey to become a global brand. Today, Church's Chicken operates in over 25 countries worldwide.

2009

Recipe Modernization
